Deepavali Special Mysore Pak

 





Ingredients
  1. Gram Flour (besan) - 1 Cup
  2. Ghee - 1 Cup + 1 tbsp
  3. Sugar - 1 Cup
  4. Water - 1/2 Cup
Method

  • Firstly add the gram flour and 1 tbsp of ghee to a pan and fry until the raw smell goes, set aside
  • In the same pan and the sugar and water and bring it to a boil, the sugar syrup should be thick
  • Sprinkle all the roasted gram flour into the syrup slowly (medium flame) and keep on stirring. Make sure there are no lumps
  • The ghee should be added in small quantities at regular intervals. This will take 10 to 15 mins
  • Keep on stirring in medium flame until the ghee starts to separate freely and the mixture looks thick and frothy like thisπŸ‘‡
    NOTE THAT THE GHEE SHOULD SEPARATE

  • Grease the pan with ghee and pour this mixture into the pan, slightly flatten with a spatula


  • Cut squares into it before it cools down ( it will be very hard to cut into it when it cools down)
  • Let it cool completely, then separate the squares
