Cashew Dates Halwa
Ingredients
- Dates (seeds removed) - 2 Cups
- Ghee - 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp + 2 tbsp
- Cashews - 1/2 Cup (chopped roughly into small pieces)
- Corn Flour - 2 tbsp
- Water - 1 Cup + 1/2 Cup
Method
- Soak 2 cups of dates (seeds removed) in 1 cup of water for 30 to 35 min
- In a non-stick pan add 2 tbsp of ghee and roast the cashews to a golden-brown colour, remove the cashews from the pan leaving the ghee behind
- Then add the dates mixture and mix for 15 min, add 1/4 cup of ghee and mix for at least 10 min
- Add the cornflour paste to the dates mixture and mix for 30 min or until the paste thickens
