Methi Malai Paneer
Serves 5-6 people
Ingredients
- Fresh Methi Leaves - 1 bunch (chopped finely and soaked in salt water for 10 min)
- Paneer - a few cubes
- Cream - 1/4 cup
- Milk - 1 cup
- Onion - 1 (chopped finely)
- Tomato - 2 (pureéd)
- Green Chilli - 4 to 5 (chopped)
- Ginger Paste - 1/2 tbsp
- Jeera - 1 tsp
- Bay leaf - 1
- Cardamom - 2
- Cloves - 3
- Chilli powder - 1 & 1/2 tsp
- Corriander powder- 1 & 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
- Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
- Butter - 2 tbsp
- Sugar - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
Method
- In a pan add a little bit of butter and the chopped methi ( after soaking it in salt water for 10 min ) and sauté until cooked
- Stir in the said amount of chilli powder, turmeric powder, corriander powder, salt and and some more butter and mix well
- Add the tomato pureé and sugar, mix well for a few min
- Also add the cubed paneer and mix gently without breaking the paneer cubes. Sprinkle the garam masala
- Adjust the consistency with water as required
- Now cover and let it simmer for about a min or two
THE TASTY METHI MALAI PANEER IS READY!!!!!
SERVE WITH ROTI OR NAAN!!
